What this is
EVE Assist logs you in through CCP's own SSO — there is no separate password, and logging in is the same act as granting it read access to your character. From there it builds a dashboard of your skill queue, wallet, and standing, and offers an AI analyst you can ask questions of in plain language. The analyst answers by calling the same read-only data tools the dashboard uses, and shows its work: every claim it makes is traceable back to an observation with a timestamp.
What this is not
- Not an autopilot. It never flies your ship, places an order, or sends a message for you.
- Not a black box. Every figure in the dashboard and every claim in a chat reply cites the observation it came from and when it was recorded.
- Not omniscient. When the data is thin or stale, it says so instead of guessing — "I don't know" is a correct answer here.
- Not required. The dashboard is useful with no AI key at all; the chat analyst is an opt-in layer on top.
How it's built
Provenance, always
Every retrieved fact carries its source, timestamp, and the identifiers used to fetch it — never a bare number.
Authority isn't flattened
An API observation, a wiki page, and a forum post are different kinds of evidence and are never presented as interchangeable.
Bring your own key
AI chat runs on a Gemini API key you supply and control, stored encrypted, never shown back to anyone — including you, after you've saved it.
Your assistant, too
A remote MCP endpoint lets your own AI tooling use EVE Assist's data tools directly, with a revocable token you mint yourself.
Get started
Logging in grants EVE Assist a read-only set of ESI scopes: wallet, skills and skill queue, location, ship type, assets, market orders, and jump clones. Nothing that lets it act on your behalf.
